Enoki mushrooms recalled in B.C. for possible listeria
A federal recall warns of possible Listeria in Gangrongtai-brand enoki mushrooms sold in 200 g packs across B.C. and other provinces; no illnesses have been reported.

Details
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a nationwide food recall warning for Gangrongtai-brand enoki mushrooms due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The affected product comes in 200‑gram packages with a best‑before date of Sept. 20 and features Chinese characters on the label.
CFIA says the mushrooms were distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario, and may have reached other provinces through secondary distribution. The agency notes its investigation is ongoing and additional recalls could follow.
Consumers are urged not to eat the product. Dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase. Food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled but can cause serious illness, particularly for pregnant people, older adults and those with weakened immune systems. At this time, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
